![]() I love that the 90's and 80's fashion trends are making a come back! Especially scrunchy's! As a 90's kid, growing up with long hair I always had my hair up in high ponytails with funky styled big scrunchy's securing my hair into place. I have been seeing all these super cute scrunchy styles on my Instagram feed and I had to jump back on the bandwagon and start wearing them again!! The owner and creator of The Scrunchy Bunch, Madeline is a fashion student at KSU and she hand makes all of the scrunchy's she sells. Her Instagram is bursting with color! I was totally sold on her products when I first checked out her page. Her scrunchy's come in an array of colors and styles that I just love so much! I love how her styles are all different and better quality then what you find in Target, Walmart or even at Claires. Madeline generously gifted me 4 amazing patterns! A metallic, sparkly gold, sold gold and one that reminds me of Pac Man!! The Metallic one is my favorite! If you are looking for that perfect scrunchy for yourself or for holiday gifts for your friends, family or co-workers I recommend checking out The Scrunchy bunch! I hope you enjoy Madeline's hair candy!
![]() Pique Tea CrystalsI'm back with another product review for Pique Tea! This is my second time writing a review for Pique Tea and I was honored when they emailed me asking if I wanted to review their summer teas. I loved the first time I reviewed their company, so I was excited to write them another one! These cute little packages of tea crystals are going to be your new favorite cup of tea. You can either have your tea hot or iced. I prefer my tea iced! How about you? Every time I go and open a new pouch of tea and smell the delicious aromas of different flavors that are hidden inside each of the tea crystal pouch I get excited for the flavors to dance on my tongue. When you pour your crystals into your cup of water the crystals begin to dissolve and blend into your water immediately! No brewing necessary! The crystals turn into tea and you can begin drinking! Hooray! Yum! It's so good. The flavor I received to review was their Passion Fruit Green Tea. Now for me I do not enjoy the flavor of green tea, but when I tasted Pique Tea's version I instantly was hooked. It was bursting with flavor and I didn't mind that it was green tea. I couldn't tell honestly! It was delicious!
I'm always curious to those who use dry shampoo to disguise their dirty greasy hair. I have seen people use different brands of dry shampoo's such as Batiste Not Your Mother's, and Pssst dry shampoo's, but I was looking for something more unique and organic!
I was skimming though Instagram one day and I was searching for organic products and I came across Green & Gorgeous Organic. I clicked on the profile and I scrolled though the page. I right away knew I wanted to work with this company. I received a package a week or so after I put in my order of two products that included travel size Lavender & Bergamot and their travel size Grapefruit & Sweet Orange scented Dry Shampoo. They smell SOOOO delicious! Green & Gorgeous Organic also included their small kabuki powder brush! Something I absolutely love about Green & Gorgeous Organics is that they are Non-toxic, Vegan, Non-gmo, Talc-free, Cruelty-Free, Safe for the environment and they are based out of San Francisco, California! They are also super affordable! As I already stated before, dry shampoo is wonderful for that quick touch up when you don't have time to wash your hair! I really love just grabbing a bottle of Green & Gorgeous Organics and shaking the powder over the greasy parts of my hair and voilà you are ready for your day or night out! Instagram: @gandgorganics Shop: Green & Gorgeous Organics I love Socks! Unfortunately living in Hawaii, doesn’t give me the best sock opportunities, so after I read my friend Madison’s review on The Sock Club, I knew I had to check them out! I went to the website and saw…they have the cutest socks!! I reached out to them, and they got back to me right away, and then all I had to do was wait for the US Postage Service to deliver! When I received my package in the mail I was super excited right away because even the mailing envelope was adorable! Starting with the design on the packaging, which was just so cute, different shapes of socks, stars, planets and other cute shapes dancing around the mailer envelope. On the backside there is some interesting information about the company and how the socks are made and shipped around the world. The Company is based out of Texas, and they use cotton grown in the US and knit in a family owned and operated facility also in the US, which is very cool. The way the business works is that you subscribe to Sock Club and you receive a new pair of socks each month. After you open the envelope you’ll find the socks are wrapped in brown paper with the Sock Club logo embossed in red wax. Have to say it again….soooo cute! Now, the main event, the socks! They are incredibly soft and so comfortable to wear! Sock Club was so generous to send me a pair of socks to review. The socks they sent me are called “The Tyrian”. Yes, the socks are named! The Tyrian got its name from Tyrian purple, the ancient and prestigious dye that was first used by the Phoenicians as early as 1570 BC. I have paired my Tyrian socks in a few different ways with my style liking. I’ve mixed and matched my favorite outfits from super lazy days to a night out on the town. Of course they always stand out, leaving me open to people’s comments, which are always of delight and inquiries about where I got such cute socks! I happily tell them about the sock company. I hope this review will encourage you to go to the website and sign up for these adorable socks! Pique Tea is a new upcoming tea company that is based out of San Francisco. I first noticed the company a week or two ago and then I approached them after I came across their Instagram account @Pique_Tea. Their cute tea packaging drew me towards their company. Plus I was really intrigued by hot tea with no tea bag and I eventually found myself Direct Messaging them asking if they would be interested in me doing a review for them. Their willingness to collaborate really made me feel warm towards this company. They sent me a few tea packets to sample! I got it in no time at all! I was sent 4 packets of Tea Crystals to try and a very sweet personalized handwritten note on company stationary. I loved the presentation; it was simple, but friendly and inviting. Earl Grey was the first tea that I sampled. I had poured the hot water into my mug before pouring the package of Tea Crystals. Once I placed the Crystals in it got a little messy. So my next cup I put the tea in first and the hot water second, and voila it was perfect! So, that is my recommendation to you, put the Crystals into your mug beforehand and then add the hot water. The Crystals dissolved right away! I’m not really a tea drinker, so to my taste buds I thought that the Earl Grey was a bit bitter, but my mom really enjoyed the flavor. Next time I might add some honey or sugar. But I loved the Jasmine tea. The aroma is amazing, and the taste is smooth. Next there is Mint Sencha Green Tea and Sencha Green Tea. Both tea's are ultra smooth and easy to drink! My favorite has to be the Mint Sencha Green Tea. I like the minty flavor it gives off. Neither tea needed any sweeting. They were both yummy! To sum it up not only the convince and the cute packaging, but the wonderful taste makes this tea a real winner. There is no guessing on how long to leave a tea bag in and there is a smooth cup of tea every time!
![]() If you’ve always dreamed of having full fluttery lashes that actually stay curled, then here is the mascara for you. And even better, it won’t break the bank. Credit must be given to my dear friend Briana who introduced me to the newest love of my life. The previous love of my life was one incredible, but preeeetty expensive mascara, so imagine my happiness at having found something nearly as great but at a fraction of the price. Seriously, I never believed my lashes could actually hold a curl since they are so straight and stubborn… but here we are! Check out this awesome curved brush. It’s a beauty of a brush and now I actually look like I have mascara on, even when I’m wearing my glasses. However, I’m on my second tube of this mascara, and I’m honestly a bit confused and conflicted because it seems like the formula is thicker and more prone to clumping this time around, which is not an issue I had with the first tube. It still gives me nice length and volume, and holds the curl amazingly well, but I have to wiggle the brush like crazy and apply it lightly if I want to avoid super clumped-up lashes. I always curl my lashes first (one eye at a time, otherwise the curl will already be gone by the time I’ve done the other eye), and while I still really like this mascara, it takes some work to apply it evenly. Also, be prepared to have a heavy-duty makeup remover nearby (something oil-based or an actual oil will do just fine) because this mascara does not budge otherwise. the verdict: All in all, I think it’s a great mascara that is reasonably priced, adds decent length and lots of volume and will absolutely keep even the most stubborn stick-straight lashes curled. The brush is amazing, but beware of potential clumping. I like it and I’ll definitely use up this tube, but I’m still on the lookout for the perfect mascara that ticks all boxes. Let me know your favorite mascaras, or any tips for holding the curl down below. Thanks for stopping by, and have an awesome day! |
