“It’s a hazy shade of winter.” - Simon and Garfunkel

Happy Sunday! This week was crazy busy and I had to remind myself to stop and breathe with how chaotic everything was!

Last Sunday I went to my first Christmas party of the season and it was great to see everyone! It was at a beautiful church and it was overall a wonderful afternoon.

Monday I stayed home and get stuff organized and did tons of chores, wrapping presents, cleaned my bathroom and a bunch of other things.

Tuesday night my friend Caitlyn and my dad opened for a country band from Canada at the Sheraton hotel in Kaanapali at a private party. The band was High Valley and they were amazing!! Look them up!

Wednesday I got some Christmas shopping done with my mom!! We went to the mall, Target, Barnes and Noble + a few other places! We got home super late that night!

Thursday I had coffee with my friend Tia and we talked about me joining her  social media networking team! Then I waited with my mom at the doctors office while she finished her appointments. Afterwards we went to Makawao to visit some friends at the place I volunteer at and to meet the puppy we will be puppy sitting over the holidays!

Friday I had coffee with a friend and we caught up with each other. After I walked across the parking lot to Walgreens to pick up an order of photographs that I will be sending out for Christmas gifts to family members.  Later in the day my family and I went to a Christmas party! It was so much fun!! We got to see people we don’t typically see throughout the year and it was great catching up with them and hearing how they’re doing.

How was your week? Let me know in the comments below!

Things I am currently grateful for: a roof over my head, pages that are filled with written words so that they sound prettier said out loud, the sound of the ocean, the moon, sunsets and the smell of rain on a dewy morning.

This fire has taught me that you need to start being thankful for what you do have and what you don’t have.

Some people don’t get to go home to a big comfy bed, or to a hot meal, a roof over their heads or to a refreshing shower after a long day.

People all over the world are challenging different battles. Just like you. Just because I live in the middle of the ocean on a tropical island does not mean I live a perfect lifestyle.

Right now I am currently laying on the floor of my mom’s office trying to get a good nights rest. We haven’t showered, we haven’t brushed our teeth and we haven’t changed our clothes in hours, but I am thankful to have my parents with me, my fur babies and a safe place to go evacuate too.

Not everybody I know can afford a fancy hotel, a roof over their heads or a car even if they do work their butts off to support themselves.

We try to support ourselves in the most difficult ways possible. Some people work 2-3 jobs just to keep food on the table, to pay for child support and to pay for a high school education.

We as a community help others in need. With the holidays coming up try and help a family in need, go to a soup kitchen and feed the hungry, donate your old favorite pair of blue jeans that you don’t wear anymore, or buy Subway sandwiches and hand them out to the homeless.

Do something to help them even if they decline your generosity.

Not everybody lives a stable lifestyle. Try and make someone’s day today.

Traveling has always been my favorite things in life. I love being away from my little island and adventuring.

Yesterday I Island hoped over to Oahu to take care of something’s and to go shopping.

Maui is so limited with anything and everything, so when I get the chance to shop I do some damage to my wallet and bank account. Is anyone else like that?

I picked up a new rain jacket and a flannel from Uniqlo and some beauty products  from Sephora and The Body Shop.

We almost always stay at Ala Moana hotel and we had a delicious dinner at our favorite Italian restaurant Romano’s Macaroni!

I highly recommend trying that restaurant next time you’re on Oahu!!

Happy Spooktober babes!

October is one of my most favorite months of the year! I’m looking forwards to the weather finally cooling down and no longer being in the 80°s and to being able to start breaking out my sweaters at least during the night time.

I love seeing all the fall inspiration on my Instagram and Pinterest. Seeing everyone post fall photography is making me miss the crunching sounds of freshly fallen leaves underneath my boots in the PNW so much! I can’t believe it’s been 2 years since I have been back!

If anyone knows of any spooky activities on Maui besides the Haunted Corn Maze let me know! I‘m excited to head up to Kula for the Pumpkin Patch to pick out the perfect pumpkin for a Jack-o’-lantern! Anyone want to be my date to the Pumpkin Patch!?

I am so ready for all things spooky and fall. Bring on 31 Nights of Halloween!!!!

I’m already trying to guess what kids are going to be for Halloween! Halloween is a huge thing in Lahaina down on Front Street!!

What are you going to be for Halloween? Hope October is the best month yet!

Good morning coffee babes! It’s a go go go kinda day! L’Shanah Tova! It’s the Jewish new year today and we’re going to party like it’s 5780!!  My mom and I are baking and cooking all day for Rosh Hashanah dinner at our family friends house later on today. I’m excited to see everyone and celebrate the new year with them!

Besides today being Rosh Hashanah in my household it’s also National Coffee Day! As you know I don’t drink coffee, but I can still celebrate with caffeine right? I think that’s fair enough! Do you drink iced or hot coffee? What’s your coffee order? Let me know in the comments below!

Happy World Photographer’s Day!!

Here’s the reality of me balancing my photography career and my blog all in my two hands. Photography has always been a huge part of my life, ever since a very young age. I am happy that I can call it my job. I love being behind the camera and capturing moments that show that there was once proof even just for a second, that everything was perfect.

Did you know that one of my absolute favorite photographers that I look up too is also my best friend? Yep! My best friend @theeditorialstyle teaches me a lot about my camera through FaceTime!! How cool is that!? I admire her hard work and her focus on her photography career.

Are you a photographer? If so what is your story? Share it in the comments below I would love to hear about your journey with photography!

What have you found at Target this summer that you had to buy! Leave a comment down below!
